We are celebrating OVER 100 yearS of farming in Elmstead market!
The Mitchell family have been farming in Elmstead Market for the past 100 years with Ian and Christine currently at the helm. The farm now grows potatoes and mixed arable crops, however it has seen many changes over the years from livestock to top fruit, horse drawn ploughs to modern day tractors, with selling farm produce at the shop being one of the more recent changes established in 1995. No doubt there will be many more changes in future generations!
